Synopsis:
Keres Re was a prominent member of her coven. Her dedication, as well as her intelligence and hard work, landed her a prestigious position on the council. In doing so, she earned the respect and confidence of the coven leader, Lord Sebastian.

However, a series of unfortunate events distorted Keres judgement and she allowed jealousy and revenge to destroy everything she had worked so hard to achieve. After breaking most of the coven laws, she finds herself repenting for her indiscretions at the mercy of her leader.

Lord Sebastian provides Keres an opportunity to work through her conflicting feelings, however she rejects his efforts at every turn. Her defiance and stubborn behavior spurs a darker side to Lord Sebastian that Keres has never experienced.
Can Keres endure Lord Sebastian’s wrath or will an unsuspecting adversary destroy the entire coven?

REVIEW - When Two Hearts Collide - Candace Knoebel & Sonya Loveday

TITLE - When Two Hearts Collide
AUTHOR - Sonya Loveday & Candace Knoebel

Pre-Order (Releases 23rd March)

BLURB:

Charlie Williams’ view on relationships is simple—one night, no strings, move on.

But when the opportunity to see a girl from his past comes up, Charlie finds himself breaking all his own rules. Ever since the night he'd turned her away, Charlie hasn't been able to get Charlotte off his mind. A break from his pub for a vacation across the pond should be enough to cure him of his curiosity and get her out of his system. At least, he hopes…

Charlotte Mackay channels love through coffee.

Running her fandom-themed store and specialty coffee bar keeps her nerdy heart busy after one too many relationship disappointments.
Until the man she can’t manage to forget calls.

Charlie’s coming to The Hamptons for a two-week vacation. She’s going to be his host—nothing more. She'd fallen under the spell of his bedroom eyes and roguish charm once before, and it nearly wrecked her. Charlotte can’t risk the same mistake twice.

But love knows no boundaries when two hearts collide.

REVIEW:

“Distance makes the heart grow fonder, 4 stars”

Charlie and Charlotte met through mutual friends years ago. On Charlotte’s last night in London she found herself in a vulnerable place with Charlie. Charlie had never been attracted to a woman as much as he had been to Charlotte causing him to walk away.

Years later Charlie is worn down, he needs a break. When a friend gives him a chance to go to hang out in the States with the only woman he’s ever looked back on, he takes it. He figured spending time with Charlotte will be the only way to battle his desire for her away. Or will he get the surprise of his life?

Charlie said he would call years ago before she left London, but he never did. Charlotte has never seen the hard side of love and believes if you love someone the rest will be a cake walk. Will she be in for a rude awakening when her prince charming comes knocking?

Charlie and Charlotte are opposites, they are in different areas in their lives, but most of all there is an ocean between their homes. Take a chance on When Two Hearts Collide to see what happens when love finds you unexpectedly.

I continue to read Loveday and Koebel’s stories waiting for the day I can tell when one ends and the other starts, but like always the story is flawless. If one didn’t know better they would think it is one author throughout the story.

Here are a couple quotes I loved from When Two Hearts Collide;

“I wasn't one to put much stock into fate. Nor was I one for reading into signs. All of it was pure and complete hooey to me. There was no impactful moment when a person looked into someone’s eyes and, BAM, that was it.”

“It was like seeing a visual of my life. Me, the rock, steady in one place, never changing no matter how many waves pushed themselves over me. I’d stay in my place and watch them wash back out, sending a new one in. Over time, and experience, the surface would wear, become polished in some places, but again, it would be unmovable. However, like every stone that constantly gets tossed about, or slammed against, there would be that one wave, filled with enough sand to wear it down. Either make it crumble or into something better than it was.”

“I saw you just like this. Spread for me. Waiting for me to come to you. And I will come to you like a sailor home from the sea. You are home to me.”

Release Blitz & Review - Cole - Karla Sorensen

Title: Cole
Series: Bachelors of the Ridge #3
Author: Karla Sorensen
Release Date: March 22, 2017

Cole Mallinson has never been able to move on.

It’s been two thousand, three hundred and sixty-two days since he’s seen his ex-wife, Julia. He’s never stopped loving her, never stopped wishing she’d come back. Everyone thinks he’s lost his mind for never moving on, but they couldn’t understand. It was never a choice.

Seven years ago, Julia Mallinson left Denver, and even though it’s the last place she wants to be, she’s back. The years of infertility that she and Cole endured during their marriage wore her down past the point of breaking. And when she left, she didn’t look back, couldn’t look back, for the sake of her sanity, her heart.

Between an accidental run-in at the grocery store and a meddling pregnant sister, Julia is forced to face the man she walked away from. The man who still, after all these years, has never moved on. Though neither has she.

And in the end, she’s left wondering if the past is ever left in the past.

My small basket was packed full and I paused before going down the next row, trying to decide if I needed a cart. I could add more wine that way.

In the second I paused to think about it, my eyes lifted up to the end of the aisle, blinking at the tall, broad-shouldered man that stood at the opposite side.

And my heart exploded in my chest, a messy, visceral explosion, when I saw his profile.

Cole.

I yanked back behind the end cap and peeked over a row of pasta sauce jars to make sure I hadn't lost my damn mind. That I wasn't imagining him standing there because of how my day had played out.

Nope. No. Oh holy shit, no, he was not a specter sent to haunt me.

His dark hair was shorter than the last time I'd seen him, his frame larger. My stomach turned in on itself at the insane moment. The tears I'd pushed down in Brooke's bathroom spilled over my cheeks while I stared at him. His arm reached out to pluck a box of pasta from the shelf, and the way his forehead furrowed while he read the label made me back up a step so I couldn't see him for a beat. Like I was capable of not looking again. Ha.

The universe hated me.

A hysterical giggle lodged in my throat when I considered that the entire freaking cosmos was playing a joke on me, that I might have been living so close to Cole that we shared a grocery store for the last month. And no matter how much I wanted that wine, my feet had already angled toward the exit. When he started to turn in my direction, I didn't think, didn't question.

I shoved my basket onto an empty bottom shelf and turned to leave, plowing into the chest of a store employee carrying an armful of canned vegetables, which hit the ground with awkward, loud bounces.

Go! I screamed in my head. But my head lifted instead.

His eyes locked on mine, widening in the next heartbeat.

"Julia," he called out, the hoarse crack in his deep voice opening a chasm in between my ribs.

And I was gone, fleeing the store without a backwards glance.

OUR REVIEW:

“Meddling sister and second chances, 5 stars”

Sometimes when we're young we do something crazy like marry our first love. When you marry young you're not just learning about yourself but about another person as well. Sometimes in the middle of that, life throws us a curve ball we can hardly handle, and when outside opinions start to hit you, you run. Or at least that's what Julia did.

Now Julia is back and avoidance is the game. Until her sister puts Cole in front of her. Julia loves Cole, but not herself. She doesn't forgive herself for the way it all played out.
Cole loves Julia no questions asked. Would he take her back? Heck yes, but its not about him, it's about her and her fight with herself. Will he finally get back the only woman he has ever loved or will he go through life alone?

Jesus, Cole is a swoon worthy dude. Even after divorce he takes his marriage vows serious, insert swoon. Julia I had a love hate relationship with. She was one of the more unsure heroines that Karla has written. Usually it would drive me nuts, but it she needed to be that way for the story to work. You don't get as much of Cole’s friends that we have in previous books in the series, but you do get Brooke and shes amazing.

Karla took a slightly taboo subject and made it real. I hurt for Cole, but my heart broke for Julia. Especially where I know someone who was dealing with the same struggles. My chest literally hurts thinking about it. I can’t wait to see where the series goes, Karla is full of surprises and gets better with each story.

Here are a few quotes I loved from Cole;

“Wasting a moment, forgetting a second of this would only be something to add to my list of things I’d done wrong. So I savored it. Breathed him in, enjoyed the feel of his hair in between my fingers, the iron band of muscles in his arms where they encircled me, clutched me to him.”

“You feel real. The way your heart is pounding under my arms feels real, but I can’t get over the fact that I might be dreaming this up.”

“I’m impressed. Not everyone can be intimidating when they’re not wearing pants.”

Well, let’s see ... I’m a wife and a mother. If the things that I write bring a smile to someone's face, then I've done my job. I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I'll love you forever.

OUR REVIEW:

“Let's talk about kink, 3 stars”

When you look up the definition of independent woman you see the heroine Rebecca. She helped her mother financially as a teenage and later became the bread winner as an adult. Not a day has gone by where she been taken care of..until she has a one night stand. She asked him to show her pleasure. Boy did he! But he was off limits.

Dante is a bad boy to the core. He knows what people want and how to deliver. As part of the public eye hes used to performing. When he loses three of the closest people to him he starts to go down a dark path, but a woman unknowingly pulls him back. Is he capable of love?

Dante and Becca have passion, an abundance of it. In Salvations Inferno you have a little BDSM, not much but enough. Dante and Becca know how to burn up the sheets. I never thought I’d say this but it was almost too much. Becca is independent but insecure, almost to the point it cripples her. Around every corner shes second guessing herself and it was annoying. Poot Dante didnt know how to react.

The book had heat, but lacked the little moments. The moments that actually make up the relationship. It was almost as if the author sped through those moments, so I couldn’t connect or become attached to the characters. I found it really disappointing. And it was one hurtle after another. The twists the book did have were crazy in a good way though. Maybe its just me but I wish the book had a little less bedroom and second guessing and a little more laughter and happiness.

Ashes to ashes.
Dust to dust.
And all that fucking shit.
I had killed.
I had sacrificed.

The innocent and the corrupt. I knew blood and I knew

violence.
Never imagining I could know love too.

Mia Ryder was a woman to love. To cherish. To fucking claim.

Now, forever, and every day in between.
If there was anyone I’d go to Hell and back for, it was her.
Even if meant, going to war with…
My fucking brother.

“Don’t fuck with me, Noah. I gotta enough fuckin’ bullshit
to deal with. Don’t need your shit, too.”
“Tell me, Creed… she’s yours right?” he questioned,
narrowing his eyes at me. “Then what’s her favorite color?”
I jerked back like he had hit me. Knowing exactly where he
was going with this.
“Time’s up. It’s pink. How about her middle name? Don’t
remember?” he mocked, cocking his head to the side. “They wanted to name her
Savannah after her grandmother who died of cancer. She never even got to meet
her. But instead it’s Alexandra, after her momma. Why don’t you tell me her
favorite thing to eat? Or drink? Favorite book? Or movie? How about you tell me
anythin’ that doesn’t include what she sounds like when she’s fuckin’ gettin’
off?”
“You little shit! Congrats, Noah, on knowin’ some trivial
bullshit. I know what shes’s feelin’ by just lookin’ at her. I know what she’s
thinkin’ without her sayin’ one goddamn word to me. And fuck yeah, I know how
she likes to be touched, kissed, fucked and I’d rather be the man who knows all
that, plus how to fuckin’ get her off,” I snarled, stepping up to him again. He
didn’t cower, if anything he stood taller. “Who the fuck you think you are,
Noah?”
“The right man for her, that’s who.”
“Is that right? So what, you tellin’ me you love her? You
love Mia?”
There was no hesitation with his response, when he clearly
replied with, “Yeah, Creed. I fuckin’ do.”
“Don’t start a war you can’t fuckin’ win, baby brother.”
“Consider this my breach.”
I nodded slowly, backing away. Taking everything in while
battling the urge to lay him the fuck out.
The lines were drawn now. Each of us on the opposite side
for the first time in all our lives but if there was anyone I would go to hell
and back for it was Mia Ryder. Even if it meant going to war with...
My fucking brother.
