Abby Brooks presents the captivating story of a broken woman and the man who helps her heal from her past...
I say I've set out on an adventure, but I'm lying. Deep down, I know the truth. I'm running. From my past. From my future. From everything.
When I meet Frank Wilde, a man whose dark eyes and chiseled abs would be intimidating if it weren't for his soul-searing smile, I know I should keep on running. There's nothing but disaster waiting for me with a man like him, a man who makes me feel like I mean more than one passion filled night of sweaty bodies and tangled sheets.
For the first time in my life, I stick around. Bit by bit, touch by touch, kiss by kiss, Frank shows me what it means to trust someone with my deepest secrets and purest truths.
But when his past comes back to haunt us, I realize I'm not the only one fighting demons and I might have been better off if I'd just kept running after all...
Come Home To Me is an standalone contemporary romance. Character driven. Emotional. Honest.

Come Home To Me is book #5 in Brookside Romance series. It can be read as a standalone which for me was great because this is the first book I’ve read by this author. This is a contemporary romance book. The writing flowed nicely. I will hopefully get a chance to read the books prior to this.
The two main characters are Frank and Sarah. Coming from different states they cross paths when Sarah got in a car accident. Frank wanted to know more about her. Sarah was traveling from Ohio to Colorado trying to run from her problems, but can’t since they are buried deep in her heart. The first thing Frank saw were Sarah’s eyes, icy blue.
Frank works at an architectural design firm. He is the best.
Sarah was stuck in Denver so she figured it was time to get a job while her car was getting fixed. The job she finally feels like she belonged, fit in.
I really liked the main characters and how they fit in each other’s live. The supporting characters also played a part and nothing I would change. There is however a supporting character that I couldn’t stand, her name was Bree.
Frank and Sarah did have chemistry. Chemistry that could happen in real life. This story basically says not to run from your problems because they follow you wherever you go.
Parts of the story I liked:
“Well, let’s get you home before your coach turns into a pumpkin, Cinderella.”
“When we finally come together, it’ll be an explosion of passion and heat.”
“It’s time to stop falling Sarah, Let me show you what it means to fly.”
Writing Style- 5/5
Overall Rating- 4/5
